DESCRIPTION:\n\nCopernicus is holding its 1st Artificial Intelligence for 
 Copernicus Workshop from 5–7 November 2019 at ECMWF\, Reading\, UK for s
 ervice operators\, contractors and users\, as well as AI experts.\n\nJoin 
 us to contribute to strengthening the future of Copernicus through AI.\n\n
 The Artificial Intelligence Workshop will allow experts and users to contr
 ibute directly to discussion sessions that will shape AI deployment in the
  context of the Copernicus programme and its downstream services in the fu
 ture. The discussions will focus on:\n\n\n	the optimal fusion of informati
 on from the vast diversity of observed and modelled data (data fusion)\;\n
 	the optimal translation of native Earth system data into user-specific in
 formation\, also coping with an increase in user and application diversity
  (data mining)\;\n	the efficient extraction of information from exponentia
 lly growing data volumes under time-critical and high service quality leve
 l requirements (machine learning)\;\n	All three aspects would greatly enha
 nce the socio-economic benefit of the Copernicus service output for Europe
 an society by exploiting an explosively growing field of technology that o
 ffers great potential for European leadership.\n\n\nExperts are invited to
  register and submit a short abstract proposing a data mining\, data fusio
 n or machine learning application that is already being used or could be u
 sed for Earth observations and modelling.\n\nPlease note that the registra
 tion deadline is 22 October 2019.\n\nPlease also note that the plenary ses
