DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS)\, in c
 ollaboration with the Ministry of Environment\, National Meteorological Ad
 ministration (MeteoRomania) and Romanian Space Agency (ROSA)\, is holding 
 a one-day workshop for existing and potential users of CAMS on Wednesday 2
 7 November 2019 in Bucharest.\n\n\nCopernicus is the European Union’s fl
 agship Earth observation programme designed to provide data and informatio
 n freely and openly through six services to tackle environmental challenge
 s and stimulate innovation and economic growth. Two of the services\, on c
 limate change (C3S) and the atmosphere (CAMS) are both implemented by ECMW
 F on behalf of the European Commission. The Copernicus Atmosphere Monitori
 ng Service (CAMS) provides consistent and quality-controlled information r
 elated to air pollution and health\, solar energy\, greenhouse gases and c
 limate forcing\, everywhere in the world.\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop outline\n\n\n\
 n\nThe CAMS user workshops are an opportunity to learn from the experience
  of existing CAMS users and hear how they apply the data to their work\, m
 eet members of the CAMS team\, and interact directly with advanced and new
  users of CAMS products.\n\nDuring the day:\n\n\n	the CAMS team will descr
 ibe the services\, data access options and user support mechanisms\;\n	CAM
 S users will share their experiences of using CAMS products and services\;
 \n	you will have the opportunity to tell the CAMS team what you might need
  from CAMS\, thereby shaping the future development of the service.\n\n\nR
 egistration for the CAMS User Workshop is free and will be open in early O
 ctober\; CAMS will provide coffee and lunch during the day\, while partici
 pants are expected to cover their own cost for travel and accommodation. R
 egistration is open to anyone interested in attending but space will be li
 mited so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to reserve your 
 place.\n\nIf you are willing to present to attendees\, either as new user 
 to explain your needs for CAMS products or as an experienced user to share
  your experiences and suggestions\, please indicate this on the registrati
 on form.\n\nA more detailed agenda will follow soon.\n\n\n\n\nWho is using
  CAMS?\n\n\n\n\nCAMS data is already being used by scientists and academic
 s\, policy-makers and local planners\, as well as business and industry.\n
 \nExisting CAMS users include:\n\n\n	commercial organisations generating r
 evenue streams by adapting the free CAMS products\;\n	academic institution
 s using CAMS data for research\;\n	government bodies using CAMS forecasts 
 and data for policy development\;\n	local air quality forecast providers u
 sing CAMS forecasts to determine expected air quality at the edge of their
  local forecast domain.\n\n\n\n\n\nBackground to CAMS and future funding\n
 \n\n\n\nThe composition\, format and delivery of CAMS services to date has
  been shaped by feedback from service users over the last decade during th
 e pre-operational and now operational phase of CAMS. The service\, impleme
 nted by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecast (ECMWF) on b
 ehalf of the European Union\, is fully operational since 2016 with EU fund
