DESCRIPTION: ECMWF hosted the first General Assembly meeting of the CERIS
 E project on 17-19 January 2024 at its headquarters in Reading\, UK. The m
 eeting included two days of presentations and discussions in the field of 
 coupled land-atmosphere data assimilation and land initialisation developm
 ents for seasonal prediction and reanalyses. It reviewed the progress in t
 he first year of the project and prepared the second year of the project a
