DESCRIPTION:\nBackground\nECMWF is contributing to the Africa–EU Space P
 artnership Programme by taking a leading role in Space for Early Warning 
 in Africa (SEWA)  alongside EUMETSAT and the African Union Commission (A
 UC)\, and funded by the European Commission's DG for International Partner
 ships (DG INTPA).\nSEWA started in January 2025\, and is to develop space-
 based services and applications to strengthen early warning systems for ha
 zardous weather and climate-related events in sub-Saharan Africa. With thi

 fo Session of SEWA\, aimed at all interested parties and in particular the
  European National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS) as well
  as African meteorological communities.\nThe preliminary agenda of this on
 line event is:\n\nWelcome by the Director General of ECMWF\nIntroduction t
 o the Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme by European Commission's DG IN
 TPA\nPresentation of the role of the AUC\nPresentation of the role of EUME
 TSAT\nOverview of SEWA and ECMWF's specific role\nPresentation of ECMWF's 
 funding opportunities\, including information on procurements and grants\n
 \nNote that (6) will include the announcement of the launch of an ITT\, a 
 Call for Expression of Interest to participate in the regional pilot grant
 s and information on the grants themselves.\nThe webinar will take place f
 rom 10:00 to 13:00 CET.\nFormat\nThis online event will consist of present
 ations from involved stakeholders as well as an extensive Q&A session to a
