DESCRIPTION:\nThe aim of the course is to enhance participants’ ability 
 to examine\, assess\, and utilise ECMWF output products and to provide adv
 anced training on the operational aspects of the ECMWF forecasting system.
  The course is designed for users who are (or will be) using ECMWF product
 s either directly as forecasting staff or in research and development work
 . The course aims to help users get maximum benefit from ECMWF's forecast 
 products.\nThe programme combines lectures covering key components of the 
 ECMWF forecasting system and products with interactive\, hands-on sessions
 . Working in small groups alongside expert trainers\, participants will an
 alyse case studies to assess forecast performance. Participants will also 
 learn how to effectively use web applications for data visualisation.\nTo 
 ensure participants are well-prepared and able to fully engage with the co
 urse content\, a set of pre-course activities will be required. These acti
 vities\, estimated to take up to 8 hours of self-paced study\, include com
 pleting online e-learning modules\, creating a poster showcasing how ECMWF
  products are currently used in their work\, and contributing to online di
 scussion forums. The completion of these tasks will ensure all participant
 s have the knowledge to get the most out of the in-person part of the cour
 se and it will also help the trainers to better understand what participan
 ts would like to achieve and discuss.\nThis training is in-person\, and al
