We are pleased to invite you to the Destination Earth (DestinE) ML Modelling Retreat, organised by ECMWF together with MET Norway. The retreat will take place near Oslo from 26 March (14:00 CET) to 28 March (14:00 CET) at the Losby Gods Hotel.
AI and Machine Learning play an increasingly important role in phase two of the DestinE initiative. This includes the further development and use of data-driven models to support uncertainty quantification within the Digital Twins.
The objectives of the DestinE ML retreat are to:

reflect and share progress on recent breakthrough in applying data-driven modelling for weather and climate modelling,

brainstorm on how to expand these capabilities towards data-driven earth-system modelling from hours to decades ahead
-
enhance synergies between various initiatives taking place in Europe in this space.
Accommodation and logistics
By registering, we will provide accommodation and catering at the Losby Gods Hotel for the duration of the retreat. Participants are only required to arrange and cover their travel to the venue.
