Copernicus is holding its 1st Artificial Intelligence for Copernicus Workshop from 5–7 November 2019 at ECMWF, Reading, UK for service operators, contractors and users, as well as AI experts.
Join us to contribute to strengthening the future of Copernicus through AI.
The Artificial Intelligence Workshop will allow experts and users to contribute directly to discussion sessions that will shape AI deployment in the context of the Copernicus programme and its downstream services in the future. The discussions will focus on:
- the optimal fusion of information from the vast diversity of observed and modelled data (data fusion);
- the optimal translation of native Earth system data into user-specific information, also coping with an increase in user and application diversity (data mining);
- the efficient extraction of information from exponentially growing data volumes under time-critical and high service quality level requirements (machine learning);
- All three aspects would greatly enhance the socio-economic benefit of the Copernicus service output for European society by exploiting an explosively growing field of technology that offers great potential for European leadership.
Experts are invited to register and submit a short abstract proposing a data mining, data fusion or machine learning application that is already being used or could be used for Earth observations and modelling.
Please note that the registration deadline is 22 October 2019.
Please also note that the plenary sessions of the workshop will be live streamed.
More information on the Workshop can be found here.
