6th WGNE workshop on systematic errors in weather and climate models
Abstract competition
Early career researchers from selected countries will be able to enter a competition for best abstracts for oral presentations. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is pleased to offer funding for travel to ECMWF (UK) to the winners of the competition.
Eligibility criteria for the competition
- You must be an MSc or PhD student, or a professional/post-doc within 7 years of your latest degree.
- Your institution must be from one of the eligible countries listed below.
- The person submitting the abstract must be the presenting author.
- There is no age limit.
- The competition is for oral abstracts but exceptional poster abstracts may be considered.
- Winners will receive funds for travel to ECMWF, Reading, UK and subsistence during the workshop.
Competition dates
- Abstracts must be submitted by the deadline (31 May 2022 23:59 UTC)
- Winners of the competition will be notified by the competition organisers by 15 June 2022.
Travel funding information
WMO will purchase the air tickets and winners will receive the standard per diem for the United Kingdom.
