ECMWF hosted the first General Assembly meeting of the CERISE project on 17-19 January 2024 at its headquarters in Reading, UK. The meeting included two days of presentations and discussions in the field of coupled land-atmosphere data assimilation and land initialisation developments for seasonal prediction and reanalyses. It reviewed the progress in the first year of the project and prepared the second year of the project activities.
