Warning of a scam email from Global Travel Experts.

A participant has warned us that they have received an email from a company called Global Travel Experts (events@gtravelexpert[dot].com)

This company is not in any way affiliated to ECMWF events.

Global Travel Experts send unsolicited emails to conference participants (other European conferences as well as ECMWF) claiming that they have made a reservation which requires confirmation. Please do not contact them and provide them with any of your personal details.

Please be assured that ECMWF has not provided participants' email addresses to this or any other company and does not publish participant emails online.

If possible, we recommend blocking the sender and if you receive an email from them, please let us know, mark it as spam and delete immediately. When booking accommodation for ECMWF events please only contact hotels directly.
